We immediately started working on contingency plans for those who wished to keep their weddings at The Bradshaw-Duncan House.

Our first event since the fire, baby shower, was held in our reception tent.

For the weddings that wish to continue at The Bradshaw-Duncan House in 2026, here are the updated fluid plans as of today.

  • Our general contractor is ready to begin restoration after we get approval.

  • The house will be a construction site for the rest of 2026 and will be unavailable.

  • We are unsure of how the house will look at the time of events due to construction.

  • For getting ready, we will be providing a nearby Airbnb. If the date is not available we will provide a different Airbnb or a room at a nearby hotel. Due to liability we will not be providing transportation.

  • Our parking lot is still going accordingly to plan. We just got a couple trees cut down to prepare for the parking lot. After 7 dry days construction will begin.

  • We are providing a restroom trailer that will be on the side of the tent since the restrooms in the house are unavaliable.

  • The main ceremony site was not affected and will remain the same.

  • If cocktail hour can not be held on the pavilion due to construction at this time, we will have a 30x60 high peak pole tent with flooring in the grass between the ceremony site and reception area.

  • The catarering cottage was not affected and will remain the same.

  • The reception site was not affected and will remain the same.

The Bradshaw-Duncan House updates as of today.

  • Insurance has came out and will come back out on 4/1/26.

  • We have purchased 2 custom made "tiny homes" for the wedding party. These will be used for onsite getting ready suites. We have had many of our couples wanting onsite accommodations, so we did our best to find a solution. These will be ready within the next 2 months.

  • We have started the refunding process for our 2026 couples who have decided to cancel. The couples earlier in the year will be refunded first. If you are struggling to pay a deposit on another venue due to not having your refund, please let us know.

  • We are in the process of getting started on the house restoration. We hope to provide a fluid timeline as soon as possible.

    • Yes, they do have power.

  • Will there be lighting in the cocktail hour tent?

    • Yes, there will be lighting.

  • Do the restrooms have water?

    • Yes, we do have water.

  • Where will the wedding party hide prior to ceremony?

    • Until we get the tiny homes, we are making accommodations in the cottage.

  • Will contractors be working on event days?

    • No, they will not be working during any event.

  • Will machinery be in site during events?

    • We will do our best to have the machinery hidden on event days.

  • Will there be a dumpster visible?

    • There will most likely be a dumpster visible by the house garage doors. This is because the house will be considered a construction site.

  • When will the parking lot be done?

    • TBD
